Future Students Overview 

The recruiting process for Division 1 student-athletes can be overwhelming for prospective students and their parents/guardians. To help alleviate some stress, and to get you started, VCU Student-Athlete Support Services (SASS) and the VCU Athletic Compliance office put together a list of VCU departments to visit. SASS and compliance work together and can help you with questions regarding NCAA Eligibility, admissions, and any additional academic questions.

Summer Scholars

Summer Scholars is an exciting five-week program that gives students a head start on their path to VCU, graduation and beyond! Students take classes, earn credits and build a group of close friends before the start of the fall semester. It's a great chance to get familiar—and comfortable—with VCU and the Richmond community.

Incoming student-athletes who are looking to get a head start on the path to graduation are encouraged to apply to VCU’s Summer Scholars program.
